GLOBAL CITIZEN
End Extreme Poverty NOW Campaign
project overview:
Role: art direction & design
The campaign will focus on work in several transformative areas for investment and policy change. Taken together, these areas can have the biggest impact on ending extreme poverty — they are force multipliers. They will set the campaign on track towards unlocking the other Sustainable Development Goals.
Issue areas:
- Break Systemic Barriers
- Take Climate Action
- Empower Girls
- Defend Advocacy
Key Audiences:
- Partners: Artists, NGOs, Corporates,
Governments, Stakeholders
- Action-takers

Tone & Language:
- An assertive, confident tone.
- Clearly explains the issue areas,
how they affect the world, compelling
calls-to-action.

Moodboards:
Key elements: Hand-done aesthetics + expressive typography + graph elements that help tell stories about the core issue areas.

Initial Concepts:
For these concepts, I went with the hand-done iconography and typography that give a human touch to the message. The graph elements help with data/message visualization. Old paper texture signifies a persistent/old issue that needs attention NOW! The earth-toned color palette helps set the tone for humane problems.

Feedback:
The initial concepts felt too retro. The goal was to modernize the aesthetic while keeping the expressive iconography and graph elements.

Festival Concepts:
For consistency throughout the year, the next steps were to match the look of the upcoming Global Citizen Festival to the look of End Extreme Poverty Campaign.
