MERCEDES-BENZ
Global Vehicle Wraps
project overview:
Role: art direction,
design & production
Mercedes-Benz Headquarters requested all their dealerships and certified collision centers to have the same look for all their parts and service vehicles (sedans, SUVs, and vans).

In order to launch such a transformative experience, I worked directly with the Mercedes-Benz team to develop and implement a unique and elegant on-brand look for all the vehicles.
We decided to go with illustrated parts pattern for the full background on all roadside assistance and loaner vehicles as well as wholesale parts vans. The colors and typography rely on the brand's well-established style guide. The designs manage to find an elegant way to work with the universal motif, focal illustrations, or detailed images without being overpowering.
Designing for vehicle wraps is a bit different than designing for other types of signage. You need to design precisely for each model, so all the elements flow and fit perfectly within the curves of the surfaces. Adding plenty of bleed around full panels and overlapping panels is crucial for a perfectly fitted wrap. Other concerns include designing for high visibility while ensuring that people can read the graphics from far away and at high speeds.
